The Community Outreach and Enrollment Specialist will be an integral member of the Berks Community Health Center (BCHC) team. S/he will provide eligibility and enrollment assistance for the Medicaid, CHIP, and Pennie Marketplace health insurance programs to uninsured patients of the health center and community residents. The Community Outreach and Enrollment Specialist will implement in-reach, outreach, and education activities about affordable health insurance options to these individuals and families, and will help them enroll in health insurance. The Specialist will collaborate with Berks County’s non-profit organizations, employers, businesses, schools, hospitals, in order to provide outreach, education and enrollment assistance for those individuals that are uninsured. This position will also have the opportunity to educate patients and the community on BCHC services. The Community Outreach and Enrollment Specialist actively supports BCHC in its efforts to maintain designation as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and as a Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH). Participates actively in BCHC’s mission to provide exceptional patient-centered primary and preventive healthcare for all residents of Berks County, regardless of patient status.
